Another week in Kagoshima March 7, 2010

Last week went quite fast. AGAIN! Well I guess things are starting to pick up at work again. So time seems to going fast.

We played mini volleyball again. I had a lot of fun. Good laughs. There were 7 of us. So it means more running around. I actually like smaller numbers. Less people = more work.

Hoshimura-san is leaving next week. She’s on the same team as me at work. It’s too bad she’s leaving. I guess things are really slow at the office. Not much work to be done. However, I’ll probably see here at volleyball.

Saturday, I played ping-pong with Ryu-san, Ueno-san, and Urushibata-san. I had a lot of fun. Haven’t played in a while. But it seems like I haven’t lost any of my skills. We later went to Ryu-san’s place to have dinner and to drink. Hwajin noona made some delicious food. I was really really full after. We also drank makurlee (Korean rice wine). It wasn’t too bad. Also, Asakasa-san and his son joined us. We had a good time playing the Wii. Good times.

Today, I went to a different church. I went with Noriko and the Australian couple, Gina & ___ (can’t believe I forgot his name). Anyways, it was about a 20 minute drive to the church. But on our way to the church the roads were so beautiful. I mean we were driving along the coast. It was beautiful. The church was very nice. Nice small church. The interesting part was that there were a portion of people that were deaf. I think everyone knew how to do sign language. It was awesome to see. Also, the sermon was done in Japanese but the we had these fm receivers where someone was translating in English for us. They also served us lunch. Tortillas! So good.

I ordered a new pair of headphones. An early birthday present to myself. Audio Technica ATH-AD700. They are super comfortable. I tried them at Bic Camera. I should be getting them in a few days.

Got to decide this week if I’m going to Korea or not after I’m done here. It’s most likely that I won’t be going. I’ll probably just spend a few days in Japan then head back home. Money is a factor. =(
